WE HAVE MOVED
That's right. Yellow Peril Records is moving it's home from Blogspot to Bandcamp. Due to the constant removal of records from our file hosts by the F.B.I we have decided to move over to Bandcamp. The new site will continue to bring art & rock & roll completely free & will offer a whole range of different downloads from 320 to FLAC.
So don't hang around. Check out the new Yellow Peril website!

All Songs written & performed by Karl Mahoney except 3, 13 & 20 (Lyrics Wintersox, Music Kevin Burgess)
After the release of his last E.P 'A fistful Of Chords' singer/songwriter Karl Mahoney announced his retirement as a solo artist to concentrate on a new Garage-Punk band with Kevin Burgess. In just the short space of 18 months the London based singer/songwriter had recorded four EP.s & two full length LP's. For the first time ever the best work that was contained on those records are available in one small package entitled 'Rolling Thunder - The Best Of..' & of course as always is available for completely free through Yellow Peril Records.

Buntline Special - 'First Shots'
Buntline Special were a 5-piece Country-Rock band who recorded an album 'First Shots' at Porcupine Studio's in London in the early 90's which had been lost for over a decade. The audio was rescued from the original master tape owned by the guitarist & vocalist George & mastered onto CD then to MP3.
This lost classic record is now available for free download through Yellow Peril Records so sit back, get that moonshine from out of the fridge & let George & his band Buntline Special deliver you a dose of timeless Country-Rock.

Karl Mahoney is back once again with a new E.P & a special announcement.
'As of today, I Karl Mahoney am announcing my retirement for the foreseeable future as a solo artist. 2012 shall see me commit fully to my new project The Hush Puppy Cunts with the artist Kevin Burgess which could well be the most controversial release in Yellow Peril History. Because of this all my energy shall be going towards the Hush Puppy Cunts.
To Wrap up my solo career there shall be a best of entitled 'Rolling Thunder, The Best Of 2010/11' released early in 2012. I fully understand that some people may be upset at this decision but like all great artists I must move on & achieve new goals. Thank you for listening & thank you for the good times'
We hope you enjoy the final Karl Mahoney EP & everybody at Yellow Peril Records wishes you a happy new year & we promise many more exciting releases for 2012 including Postal Squad, Tuckerman & debut releases from Jimmy The Mackam & Dan The Scouser.

Karl & Kev - Here Comes The Party People (The Poetry Of Wintersox)
Karl & Kev are yellow peril artists: Karl Mahoney & Kevin Burgess
After a drunken conversation in The Worlds End pub in Camden with Kevin Burgess on the 5th of July 2011 we brought it upon ourselves to collaborate together to bring the poetry of the cult artist Wintersox alive in musical form.
At the Glastonbury festival this year I received the greatest present of my lifetime from good friend Magneto which just happened to be a copy of 'Here Comes The Party People' which is the first edition of over one hundred & fifty writings by the great Wintersox. Once I got home & had taken a bath I opened up the book & read it from cover to back, completely lost in the world of Wintersox. Some of the poems hit me straight between the eyes with their power & beauty, others took time to reveal their majesty but each piece spoke to me like poetry has never spoken to me before.
I finally began to feel as if I could understand Wintersox. See, many have dismissed the poetry of Wintersox as a joke, hell even I admit the first time I stumbled across the mans work I had absolutely no idea what to make of it. Who is this guy? Is he for real?
After months of coming back to his work & being bombarded with the sheer wealth of his material I began to realise that not only was the artist for real, he was a unique talent so far ahead of his time that I doubt many people will fully understand this mans achievements in Art & Rock & Roll in this lifetime.

Wintersox is a phenomenon waiting to happen
The album 'Here Comes The Party People (The Poetry Of Wintersox)' has been made with only love in mind. This album is not intended whatsoever to make a name for ourselves by using somebody else's poetry. This record has been put together to show our love of what Wintersox has given to us & hope that maybe one or two people can be turned onto his work by hearing the album.
Here Comes The Party People the book can be purchased from Amazon.com for only $18 dollars from the link below:

So here is the album (YellowPerilCD010). Running at only 10 minutes long these 10 tracks contain 14 pieces of poetry found in Here Comes The Party People.

What does the album sound like?
Here Comes The Party People is the most ambitious project from either Karl Mahoney or Kevin Burgess yet. Sounding like neither of the artists previous records collectively they have found a sound quite like no other.
From Tom Waits to Flash Gorden.
From Lordi to Dot Cotton
From Lee Hazlewood to david lloyd
& from Burial to Charles Manson
I would like to thank Magneto for giving me such a wonderful present & also a very big special thanks to Columbian Ana for creating the artwork for this unique release. Without either person this record would of never of been made.
However, the biggest thank you I want to give out is to Wintersox himself. Thank you for inspiring me to become an artist. Thank you for your poetry. Thank you for your paintings. Thank you for your art video's. Thank you for your albums. Thank you.... for being you.

I am back with yet another concept E.P. The Murderer.
One of my favourite hobbies since childhood has been watching bad horror movies & I still enjoy watching them to this day. This EP is a tribute to the bad slasher movies of the 1980's.
All tracks written by Karl Mahoney except track 1 (I Understand Murder), lyrics by Billy Childish.
Thank you for listening & look out for the second Postal Squad LP which will be out before the end of the year.
